This deserves a straight answer in both directions, because UK study is expensive and it is not automatically the better choice.
What UK study genuinely offers
Shorter programmes. UK bachelor's degrees are typically three years and many master's degrees twelve months, compared with longer norms in India. That is a real saving in time and, often, in total cost of living even at higher tuition rates.
Teaching style. UK courses lean on independent research, seminar discussion, coursework and argument rather than memorisation and final examinations. Whether that suits you is a genuine question - see how do UK and Indian teaching methods compare.
Post-study work access. The Graduate Route allows eligible graduates to work in the UK without a sponsor for a set period. This is the single biggest structural advantage, because it is a route into an international labour market.
International environment. Working alongside students from many countries changes how you communicate, and employers notice it.
What staying in India offers
Cost. The difference is very large. A UK degree plus living costs runs to many times the equivalent Indian expense.
Network at home. If your career will be in India, an Indian institution's alumni network and campus recruitment may serve you better than a UK degree.
Specific national advantages. For some fields - Indian law, Indian chartered accountancy, national competitive exams - studying in India is simply the correct route.
The honest test
Ask where you want to be working in ten years. If the answer is "India", a UK degree is a nice-to-have that must justify its cost. If the answer is "internationally, or in the UK", the Graduate Route access changes the calculation substantially.
The middle option people forget
You do not have to commit to a three-year UK degree to test the water. A recognised Level 3 or foundation qualification is a smaller first step that still leads into UK degree entry - see best UK pathways from India.
