Course sales pages are written to be agreed with. The fastest way to see through them is to ask direct questions and watch how directly they are answered. Here are twelve worth asking any provider - including us.
About the teaching
1. What will I have built by the end? The only answer that matters: campaigns, a website, audits, reports. 2. Who reviews my work? Named, qualified tutors or an auto-grader? 3. How big are classes? Small enough to get individual feedback? 4. Which tools will I use hands-on? Expect Google Ads, Meta Ads, WordPress, Google Analytics, email automation and AI tools by name.
About outcomes
5. What happens after the course? Vague "career support" or something concrete? 6. Is there a route to real experience? Projects, internships, placements - and is it guaranteed or "subject to availability"? On Digital Marketing in Practice the 12-week placement is guaranteed for every learner, and we put that in writing. 7. What do graduates do next? Ask for examples.
About the practicalities
8. What are the entry requirements? 9. What exactly does the fee include? 10. Live online, campus or both - and what is the timetable? 11. How long is it really, per week? 12. What certificate do I receive and who recognises it?
A provider who answers all twelve plainly is telling you something; so is one who cannot. For the deeper evaluation criteria behind these questions, see our guide on how to know if a course is actually good.
The bottom line
You are not buying content - the internet is full of content. You are buying structure, feedback and outcomes. Twelve questions establish whether they are really for sale.
