Choosing an Online Digital Marketing Course from the UAE

How to choose an online digital marketing course from the UAE: live class times in Gulf Standard Time, live tuition and practical work, internship location, fees and what to get in writing.

If you live in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or elsewhere in the UAE, you can choose between classroom courses in the Emirates and live online courses run from abroad. To choose an online digital marketing course from the UAE, check four things: when live classes fall in Gulf Standard Time (GST), how much live teaching and practical work you get, where any internship takes place, and the full fee in writing.

Check Gulf Standard Time schedules

Online courses are scheduled in the provider's local time, so convert the timetable before you pay.

  • UK-based courses: GST is four hours ahead of UK time in winter (GMT) and three hours ahead in summer (BST). A 6pm UK class falls at 9pm or 10pm in the UAE.
  • India-based courses: IST is one and a half hours ahead of GST, so Indian evening classes fall in the UAE late afternoon or early evening.
  • The UAE working week: most employers now work Monday to Friday, so check how weekday evening sessions fit around your job, and whether any sessions fall on a Friday afternoon.

Ask for a written timetable in GST for your intake, not a general statement that classes are "in the evening".

Compare live tuition and practical work

Live or recorded. Recorded courses are flexible, but you get little feedback. Live online courses give you a tutor, a cohort and questions answered in real time.

Practical assignments. Every module should end with work you can show: an SEO audit, a paid campaign plan, social content, an analytics report. Ask who marks it.

Relevance to the UAE market. Campaigns in the UAE often run in English and Arabic and target a very international audience. Ask whether you can base assignments on a UAE business, so your portfolio reflects the market you want to work in.

Confirm internship location and fees

Internship. If an online course includes an internship, confirm:

  • whether it is remote or on-site, and if on-site, in which country
  • the hours and whether they are in GST or another time zone
  • who supervises you, and whether it is paid, unpaid or expenses-only
  • whether it is guaranteed or only "placement support"

A remote internship with an organisation abroad can add international experience to your CV, but make sure the hours work alongside your commitments.

Fees. Check the currency. If the fee is in pounds or dollars, your bank's exchange rate and card fees change the final cost in dirhams. Ask about payment options and the refund policy.

Visas and employment. Studying online from the UAE does not usually involve a student visa. Your right to work in the UAE is a separate matter, decided by UAE rules and your employer, and no course can change it.

Questions to ask any provider

  1. What are the live class days and times in GST for my intake?
  2. Are classes live or recorded, and how many hours a week?
  3. Is every module assessed with practical work, and can I use a UAE business as my case?
  4. Is the internship guaranteed, remote or on-site, and on what terms?
  5. What is the full fee, in which currency, and what is the refund policy?
  6. What will I receive at the end?

LSBUK's live online route from the UAE

For reference, our live online digital marketing training, Digital Marketing in Practice, is taught live in UK time by the same tutors as our London campus. The taught phase lasts 12 weeks with a practical assignment in every module, followed by a 12-week internship of around 40 hours a week with LSBUK or a partner organisation, guaranteed for learners who successfully complete the taught phase. The Live Online fee is £650, charged in pounds sterling, as of September 2026. There is no LSBUK campus in the UAE; the campus route is taught in London. Admissions will send the current timetable converted to GST and confirm the internship format for your intake.

The bottom line

From the UAE, the right online course is one whose live classes fit your GST working week, whose assignments build a portfolio relevant to your market, and whose internship terms and fees are clear in writing.
