Level 3 Diploma in Business and Management: A Complete 2026 Guide

Level 3 Diploma in Business and Management: fees, intakes, entry requirements, modules and university progression. Study online or on campus in London.

The Level 3 Diploma in Business and Management is a globally recognised, A-Level equivalent qualification, and one of the most direct routes into a UK business degree. It is built for students who want practical business skills and a faster, coursework-based path to university. This guide covers what the diploma is, what it costs, how to get in, what you study, and where it leads. If you want a broader overview first, see our guide to Level 3 business diplomas in the UK.

What the qualification is

The Level 3 Diploma is an alternative to A-Levels or an Access to Higher Education course, carrying 120 credits at Level 3. It gives you a strong grounding in how businesses work and prepares you to step straight into undergraduate study at London School of Business UK or other UK universities.

Formats, intakes and fees

You can study in two ways. The online route runs over 9 to 12 months with intakes in February, June and October, at £4,750. The campus route in London runs over 6 to 9 months with intakes in February, March, June and October, at £9,250 for UK and EU students and £15,000 for international students. Both routes lead to the same qualification.

Entry requirements

Entry is open to applicants aged 16 or over who have completed Grade 10 or an equivalent, such as GCSEs or an internationally recognised secondary school certificate. International students need a minimum B1 (intermediate) level of English on the CEFR scale. If your qualifications are from a different system, the admissions team can advise on equivalents.

What you study

The programme covers nine modules spanning the business environment, how organisations work, business communication, working in teams, market research, financial controls, leading and managing people, marketing and sales, and international business. The focus is practical, so you learn to apply each area to real business situations rather than just study the theory.

How you are assessed

Assessment is continuous, through coursework, projects and presentations, rather than a single high-pressure final exam. Ongoing assignments and feedback are used throughout to track progress and keep you improving.

Where it leads

The diploma offers direct progression to a wide range of business and finance degrees, and students can continue at London School of Business UK or move on to other UK universities. It also opens entry-level business roles such as administrative assistant, sales executive, customer service representative, marketing assistant, office coordinator or retail supervisor.

Who it is for

This route suits students whose grades fall below direct university entry, international students aligning their qualifications to UK standards, learners improving their academic English, students changing academic direction, and mature or gap-year learners returning to study. If you are weighing it against the traditional academic route, our comparison of the Level 3 Diploma versus A-Levels breaks down the differences.

In summary

The Level 3 Diploma in Business and Management is a recognised, practical and flexible route into a UK business degree, available online or on campus with several intakes a year. Explore the programme or get in touch to check fees, funding and how to apply.
